Frequently asked questions
Short answers for people who use a personal assistant and want a vault that stays under their control.
Does a password manager do this?
No. A password manager stores logins for you. You or your browser still type them in. SafeAssist holds the login and hands it to the assistant for one task. The assistant does not keep it.
Do I need to set up Auth0, an API, or a developer account?
No. You sign up with email, Google, or GitHub. We send a confirmation link. You open it, and the vault turns on.
Why no puzzle to prove I am human?
Those puzzles are easy and still make people quit. We send a confirmation link instead. The vault stays off until you open it.
Where do my logins live?
In your SafeAssist vault, separate from your assistant app. You save them in the dashboard. The assistant can use one for a single task without keeping your password. You can revoke access any time.
What plans can I buy?
Lite and Personal are available today, with monthly or annual billing. See the pricing page for limits on linked assistants, saved logins, and program keys. A family plan is coming later.
How does the trial work?
New workspaces can start a free seven-day Personal trial. Stripe collects your card up front. Cancel before the trial ends if you do not want to pay. After the trial, you stay on Personal unless you change or cancel your subscription.
What does GitHub signup change?
You can sign up with email, Google, or GitHub. Trial limits still apply: one trial per email, GitHub account, and card.
Are tool calls unlimited?
Lite and Personal have no monthly call limits for normal personal use. We still apply fair-use protections: short burst throttles and, in extreme cases, a pause on program-key API calls while we review unusual volume. Browser extension website logins keep working. See our Terms for details.
How do referrals work?
Each workspace has a personal referral link in the SafeAssist dashboard. A friend signs up through your link and starts the normal seven-day Personal trial. They get one free month on their first paid Lite or Personal month. You get one free month of credit at your current plan after their first payment clears and the seven-day refund window on that payment ends. Credits stack up to twelve free months per year. We block self-referrals and reuse the same one-trial rules for abuse prevention.
